To Break My Heart

 

I wanted to give my heart to you, and really be myself, but the way things were between us couldn't simply help themselves. You'll never be completely mine, we must be realistic, for you have so much in your life that makes things complicated.

I have a lot of love to give, yet gave it all to you. I just don't want to be the one that suffers when were through. We know we can't go on like this, just pretending that were fine. When we both know it very well, we must simply draw the line.

I loved you very much, it even hurts cause were apart, which made it even easier; for you to break my heart. Its such a shame how much it takes to realize its wrong. To see someone for what they are, and know their not the one. To think I wasted so much time, my efforts never noticed. For ever believing in someone not even worth the venture.

Being with you has awakened me, you and I could never be. The lies, and manipulations must cease, the dreams shared obsolete. Believe me when I say to you, you will no longer have a hold. You lost my trust, and now my love, my heart won't ache no more.

I am beyond the hurt and pain that you were causing me. I'll be okay, I'll make it through for I deserve the best.

You woke me up, it took some time, but now I'm just relieved, for you will never fool this girl for being so naive.

The Wait

Time Clicks as I await
The hour ends before my take
Sitting, thinking, waiting; my mind escapes

The day grows old as night passes
Wolves crying, coyotes howling; anticipating
Watching, staring, seeing -- nothing

Silence begins the day
as morning comes without notice
Tears begin to fall, slowly

The day moves on without hope
Wishing to be what is not to be

The sun moves to its peak
without a whisper or retreat

Time moving, but still empty
Stomach aching, curling
Still waiting
