True love is a many splendored thing.

It's the April rose that only grows in the early spring.

Love is nature's way of giving a reason to the rhyme.

Without love, we're just hollow reeds blowing in time.

True love is the dew on the morning grass.

It's the first warm rays of sunshine that shine through the glass.

Love is the song of the birds in the trees.

It's the gentle breeze that blows through the leaves.

True love is the laughter of children at play.

It's the joy of a new day.

Love is the smile on your face.

It's the warmth of your embrace.

True love is the light in the darkness.

It's the hope in the midst of despair.

Love is the answer to all our prayers.

It's the reason we're here.

So if you're lucky enough to find true love,

Hold on to it and never let it go.

For it's the most precious gift of all.

I feel like my head

is overwhelmed and complicated

The sensible thing

would be to react

but instead I sat here and waited

I guess I thought everything would work its own self out

But I'm beginning to feel trapped;

I'm in a cage

and all I can do is shout

I love him

but he doesn't love me

i hate to be in this position

why can't we ever be

he loves someone else

i feel all of the pain

i knew if i told him

we would never be the same

i get mixed signals

i get so confused

i knew if i asked him

he would definitely refuse

i wonder if i hadn't told him

none of this would be

all i want from him

is to open his eyes and see

he will never leave her

Desire within my Dreams

Here we are once more,

Within a dream or is it not?

Whatever the case this time again,

Our hands fall asleep intertwined together.

Even pretending makes it feel so real...

No matter the blindness of the heart.

Years down the road we may look back,

And perhaps for a moment question ourselves,

Was any to blame, for what went wrong in us?

For we have one thing over so many others,

That no matter how painful it had become...

It was all real, for our hearts bled within each moment.

Before the clocks stop ticking,

Within this illusion we believe a dream,

Let us kiss for a moment, once more together,

It isn't making the same mistake, but redoing it,

Creating the fate that we both desired within our hearts...

For once the desire to awaken was distinguished,

And the passion to define our love was ignited,

A Beautious Expedition

Nothing's everlasting
life's roads are long and winding
littered with debris of broken hearts;
but it's worth all the struggle
for everything's photographed.

Nothing's everlasting
for hearts do indeed collapse
under the pressure of affection;
but with tender intentions
the heart does reverse.

Nothing's everlasting,
although we always can dream
and embrace the warmth that lies within,
for a calloused heart
becomes un-smothered.

Nothing's lasting,
for it all must come to an end,
but when in the arms of a loved one
the surrounding world becomes unfocused,
stopping in time.

The roads might be a little hazy
but for a moment, they'll be cleared
and perhaps you'll find your way
through the beauty of the expedition
that's raveling within your heart.

Love is never promised,
but it's worth all the risk
for the reward is a pair of wings
with hope of flight
without all the littered debris.

Life is a quest full of roads,
long, short, up, and down,
but it is only you
who makes the decision
which way to go.

The roads may be long and winding,
but that won't stop me
from taking a journey to your heart.
